Definitions
"You/Buyer/Customer" means the user of the Website, "We/us/Seller/Company" means ShoeBox Computer Company Ltd trading under ShoeBoxComputers.com, "Services" means the content, search facilities and other services provided by us through the Website. "Website" means this website operated by us.
Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions, as set out here, together with the Confirmation of Order are intended by the Seller to set out the contract between the Seller and the Buyer. The Buyer is encouraged to read in full the Terms and Conditions, Delivery and Returns, Privacy Policy and the Confirmation of order, which fully state the goods, and services the Buyer will receive and the total price of all goods and services.
The Confirmation of Order provides for notification, by the Buyer to the Seller, of changes to the Buyers requirements, three days prior to the Scheduled Date of Despatch. For the avoidance of any doubt, changes should be confirmed in writing to the Sales department. All systems that include or offer the option to include an operating system will have the operating system installed and configured with all the latest drivers & patches prior to delivery. The system is also accompanied by the original Microsoft Installation CD should you ever need to format your PC in its lifetime
Limitation of Liability
You agree that, except for death and personal injury arising from our negligence, we shall not be liable in contract, tort, negligence, statutory duty or otherwise, for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from or in any way connected with this contract, including, without limitation, damage for loss of business, loss of profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss (even where we have been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage).
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us, and our officers, directors and employees, immediately on demand, against all claims, liability, damages, costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of any breach of these terms and conditions by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of the Website or the Services.
Our Contract
You will have an opportunity to check and correct any input errors in your order up until you checkout your order.
After checking out an order to us we will give you an Order Number and details of the products you have ordered. We will send the same details to you in an e-mail (our first e-mail). Please note that this e-mail is an acknowledgement, not acceptance of your order. Acceptance of your order and the creation of a legally binding contract between us will only occur when we send you a second e-mail, which will confirm your order status (processing) and contain details of how we will deliver your products to you.
Alternatively, we may decline all or part of your order for any reason, in which case our second email will tell you so. Shoebox Computers reserves the right to decline services to any company or consumer.
When deciding whether or not to accept your order we may use certain information about you, including any received from credit reference agency checks. This helps to protect you and us against fraudulent transactions.
We will tell you if your payment details cannot be authorised for any reason and may invite you to pay by another method.
We will send you a third e-mail confirming the despatch of your order.
Prices
All prices and charges on this site are shown in UK pounds sterling and exclude UK VAT and exclude delivery charges. Prices are subject to change without prior notice at the discretion of Shoebox Computers.
While we try and ensure that all prices on our Web site are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
Payment
The total cost of your order will be the price of the products you order, any additional services you choose (e.g. Software support), plus the applicable delivery charge.
All these will be set out clearly in the Order Confirmation Page before you checkout your order.
Prices, offers and products are subject to availability and may change before (but not after) we accept your order. If something becomes unavailable we may offer you an alternative.
We try very hard to ensure that all information on this site is accurate. However, just occasionally, an error can occur. If we discover an error in the description of a product you have ordered, we will tell you and ask you whether you wish to continue with your order or cancel it.
We accept payment from all UK major credit and debit cards through the HSBC Secure ePayments card processing service. Customers paying by this method will be transferred securely from our website to HSBC's Secure ePayments website.
The HSBC Secure ePayments website is hosted and operated by our banker HSBC, who will undertake the card transaction on our behalf. Your card details are securely held by HSBC and at no stage will your card details ever be divulged to us. On successful completion of the transaction you will be returned to our website.
Payment is deducted when we process your order and not when it is submitted. Shoebox Computers remains the sole owner of all goods shipped until the customer has paid in full.
*Notice* When paying by credit or debit card, please make sure your billing address matches the cardholder's address. Failure to provide the correct address could result in your transaction being declined.
Delivery of Goods paid by Credit Card
All first orders must be delivered to the cardholder's address and will be subject to a security check which can delay the order up to 24 hours. Subsequent orders using the same card for payment may request to be sent to an alternative address. However if an alternative delivery address is requested it may be subject to a random security check which may delay the order up to 24 hours.
Delivery and Returns
These terms and conditions and all transactions relating to this website are governed by English law and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We do not accept amendments to these terms and conditions.
